Public Finance, Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), Governance, and Utilities are Taru’s niche areas of work. Our policy and reform-based inputs have been appreciated across India and several other countries. Within this sector, we contribute to a wide range of subjects, including public finance policy, change management, economic strategies, capacity assessment, decentralized planning, reforms, PPP transactions, utility improvements etc. For example, Taru’s State of Panchayati Raj Report for the Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR), Government of India, provided in-depth reviews on the policies and programmes to strengthen PRIs and respond to their emerging needs. Our strategic reviews of DFID India’s Governance Portfolio across four states (Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, and West Bengal), study on Key Stakeholder Perceptions of Multilateral Organization Effectiveness in India, ADB Country Partnership Strategy, SIDA’s Country Strategy on Water & NRM, have outlined strategic options and future focal areas, and are considered pioneering work in this field.
